HIAF Settles in Huizhou, Guangdong Province

    Since 2009, Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences has proposed the concept of HIAF (High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility), kept optimizing its design and performs research on several key technology in advance. Meanwhile, personnel concerned have started the long and tough mission on selecting location for the project all over the nation. Finally, the location was confirmed -- a southeast coastal area in Huidong county, Huizhou, Guangdong Province. 

    On June 28th, 2014, Chinese Academy of Sciences signs The Cooperation agreement on co-construction of CiADS and HIAF, major national scientific and technological infrastructures during the Period of the Twelfth Five-year Plan” with Guangdong Provincial government. HIAF officially settles in Huizhou, Guangdong Province.
