HIAF project is a cooperative project jointly applied to the state by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and Peking University. As a result, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, Peking University and the relevant departments of the state have formally established the Engineering Leading Group, the Engineering Command and the Engineering Manager Department in 2015. Engineering Leading Group and Engineering Command are the leading bodies of HIAF project. They are composed of leaders of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangdong Province and relevant state departments, heads of relevant departments and construction units. The leader of the engineering leading group is the main leader of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Guangdong Province, and the General Commander of the engineering headquarters is the legal representative of the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. As the HIAF project has a large amount of work and involves a wide range of areas, in order to ensure real-time and efficient leadership, the project management department of HIAF is responsible for the specific work. In accordance with national requirements and international practice, the HIAF Project has also established a Science and Technology Committee and an International Advisory Committee.
